Original vs. Remake: Bedazzled

One of the most famous legends is the legend of Faust. To make a long story short, the story of Faust is about a scholar who, in spite being successful, is dissatisfied with his life. So, he sold his soul to the devil. The story served as the inspiration for many books, movies and plays. Even the musical Damn Yankees is based off of the Faust legend. Today, we will be looking at a comedic retelling of the Faust legend... or rather two comedic retellings. In 1967, the world was introduced to Bedazzled, a British comedy directed by Stanley Donen. Then, in 2000, we received an American remake directed by Harold Ramis. Is the British original the superior Bedazzled, or is the American remake the superior film?
